Here's Noah's last beer FYI. Tonight is his last Thursday Night Beer Night. Come have a brew and wish him well on his journey to San Francisco. Thanks Noah for the friendship, hard work and tasty beers and cocktails.

I helped out serving at one of the Sunday Night Supper events this past Sunday at the home of Terry and Wayne Rusch. The dinners, presented by José Andrés, Joan Nathan and Alice Waters, bring in top area and international chefs to cook dinners to benefit Martha’s Table and DC Central Kitchen.

"The Art of Dating" is a solo exhibit of paintings by Dana Ellyn that is inspired by Rachel Machacek's book, "The Science of Single". The art includes quirky paintings of events which we have all probably been a part of at some point in our dating history. Some of them are even haunting in a way....reflecting those dates that you either must laugh or else cry about.

Skip the cream and sugar and go for the salt, or, perhaps you'd prefer a squash and coffee foam or eggnog capsule in a bacon infusion.

I was happy to help out with this year's Repeal Day Ball. It was the biggest and best yet, but I'm sure tired from carrying so much liquor (and other things) around.

Auger's offbeat artwork is unapologetically bold, colorful, and fun. An assortment of animated animals, crazy characters, mythical monsters, and more — most with wild, swirling eyes — are brought to life. Many of his paintings also react to blacklight! His paintings feature an assortment of characters that seem to have both a slightly off-tilter quality as well as a childlike charm. Auger exhibits and sells his work at various events, galleries, and cafes including Tryst!
