I can second Azi’s   great popele, though it is a tiny little place. Also: 1) Mid City Cafe   very surprised this isn’t listed, it’s just about the best coffeeshop in the city for what you describe. Always a place to sit during the day, a welcoming atmosphere, good coffee/food, great background music (good, but not loud) and most importantly, hundreds of outlets! 2) Big Bear Cafe   small and located in a farther neighborhood (Bloomingdale), but a great place for locals in that area, similar atmosphere to MCC; 3) Qualia Coffee on GA ave in Petworth   I’ve never been there but I’ve only ever heard great things about it from friends in that area. 4) Dos Gringos in Mt Pleasant   all around great place for MtP, though small.That’s all I can think of off the top of my head. I recommend checking them out   I’d be interested in your thoughts.
