We're excited to support local artists with rotating visual displays and musical performances throughout the year. This month, visit us anytime to see Annika Papke’s art displayed throughout the cafe and join us on music Mondays from 7:00-9:00pm for a live music.

 
 

Carlos Figueroa

  • Carlos Figueroa (Carlos Cello) is an emerging cellist from the exotic country of Venezuela. Music and art has been a part of him since an early age. He moved to the US to pursue the American Dream where he would gain a full-ride scholarship from two prestigious universities. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Shenandoah University and his graduate studies at George Mason University, both in music performance. Carlos is currently giving live concerts at many venues in the DMV area performing with symphonic orchestras and independently. In addition to music, he works as a designer consultant and salesmen for kitchen and bath remodeling and is very passionate about the culinary arts alike. In the end, he very much care about people and loves bringing them together through the beauty of music, designing and culinary arts.

Annika Papke

  • Annika Papke is a queer, interdisciplinary, multi-media artist living and working in Washington, DC.

    She has always been engrossed in pop culture and could write a dissertation’s worth on how The Real Housewives are modern impressionists. She is interested in exploring how internet culture effects us irl and in themes of platonic love and friendship.
